Class 1 & 2 Roll Cage

Bars Connecting the front and rear hoops at low level/bottom/base (a.k.a. Floor Frame bars): This is to confirm that these must be bolted to the vehicle floor-pan @ 457mm (18inch) centers complete with steel plates (minimum surface area 150 sq mm (6 inch sq)) and bolted through the floor-pan to a steel plate of equal size.

Note: Where, due to the floor-pan original shape the bars are fitted as low as practicable and therefore are just above the raised parts of the floor-pan and not flat on the floor, then it is permissible to fit L or angle brackets from the base of the frame bars down to the floor-pan.
